A. ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

Students who graduate as Valedictorian or Salutatorian from public or recognized private schools may be awarded entrance scholarships. This consists of free tuition for Valedictorian and one-half free tuition for Salutatorian for one (1) semester.

B. COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

Free tuition and other fees for one semester shall be enjoyed by all undergraduate students who have obtained a weighted average of at least ―1.25‖ during the preceding semester, provided, that such students shall have carried an academic load not less than the required normal load for the semester.

C. EMMAUS STUDENTS’ SCHOLARSHIP

1. Full Scholarship

The Emmaus College of Theology will help qualify students willing to study with great determination and interested to serve the Lord following any Christian vocation in life inspired by Jesus’ message of love, willing and committed to serve the Church and the society. This commitment shall be made concrete in the agreement between the student and the sending institution/ Diocese and/or particular parish.

Those who can recommend a student for the full scholarship are the Bishop and/or the Parish Priest of any Diocese or parish where the student/s originated. Thus, an agreement is written between the student and the sending institution and/or Diocese stipulating the number of years to be served (usually two

  • (2)     years) as volunteer/s with reasonable allowances or compensation

Emmaus can also propose specific missions to serve. The kind of service for them is to be done in the spirit of mission as Emmaus Missionary Disciples. In this case, the Emmaus Dialogue Movement will be directly responsible and can send them with proper agreement to any place providing them formation and allowances for two (2) years or less according to the agreement.

2. Partial Scholarship

This can be given to students recommended by the Bishop/s, Parish Priest/s or any recognized group/s and institution/s in the Church. This scholarship will cover all the expenses, but the college will contribute with the expenses of board and lodging in the College Residence. The other expenses have to be covered by their families and/or the Bishop, Priest, Institution or group. Indeed, to these scholars, we also recommend a time of voluntary services with agreed time and place.
