Each of the three stages is presented here by focusing the attention on three different ICONS that we find in the narration of the Gospel of Luke, chapter 24.
- First Icon: Beginning of the journey: “Two disciples going to Emmaus (Lk 24:1314).
- Second Icon:Jesus’ mysterious presence: “Jesus walked with them and they did not recognize him“(Lk 24:1516).
- Third Icon: Creativity of God’s dialogue: “What are you discussing?” (Lk 24:17).
- Forth Icon:Time of fear: “We were hoping” (Lk 24:21).
- Fifth Icon: Women and hope: “Some Women have astonished us…?” (Lk 24:22).
- Sixth Icon: Dialogue and faith: “How slow you are to believe!” (Lk 24:25)
- Seventh Icon: Dialogue and Hospitality: “Stay with us” (Lk 24:29).
- Eighth Icon: Dialogue and Eucharist: “their eyes were opened” (Lk 24:31).
- Ninth Icon: the call of God in the burning heart: “Were not our hearts burning in us?” (Lk 24:32)
